Wishbone Spay/Neuter Program Coordinator (Part-Time)Job DescriptionThis position requires a competent Spay/Neuter Program Coordinator to build relationships with organizations able to provide spay/neuter surgeries, nurture & build new relationships with partner organizations (including CSNIP, Spay & Neuter Express, Allegan Vet Clinic, and the Allegan County Animal Shelter), manage logistics, direct and train a team of specialized volunteers, and in the future, help build a Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) Program. You will be responsible for Spay/Neuter Program logistics, including scheduling surgery appointments and clinics, arranging transportation as needed, and creating pricing. You must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The goal is to make spay/neuter accessible to low-income individuals in Allegan County and to spay/neuter unowned animals (e.g., outdoor and feral cats). This role reports to the Wishbone Program Manager.Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with veterinarian clinics and other nonprofits animal rescues and shelters able to provide spay/neuter surgeries.
  • Nurture relationships with current partner organizations (including CSNIP, Spay & Neuter Express, Allegan Vet Clinic, and the Allegan County Animal Shelter)
  • Manage program logistics, including outreach, scheduling, arranging transportation, and pricing.
  • Onboard, train, assign responsibilities, and schedule volunteers who wish to help with the Spay/Neuter program.
  • Continue education about best practices and industry standards
  • Work with the Wishbone Volunteer Coordinator to coordinate teams of volunteers for large-scale actions (as needed)
  • Communicate frequently with the volunteer team
  • Εnsure the purpose of the organization and its actions are clearly communicated.
  • Work closely with the Wishbone Programs Manager, providing regular updates of desired metrics.
  • Build relationships with other nonprofits that do TNR for outdoor/feral cats and/or add TNR to the Spay/Neuter Program in the future.

Job Type: Part-Time, 20-30 hours per week; overtime may be allowed with prior approvalPay Rate: $15/hourFlexible work from home options available.
