Assistant Superintendent – Commercial Construction
Location: Eastern Washington (Based out of Spokane Office)
Salary: $105,000 – 110,000

While not all projects are in Spokane, most are located within a 3-hour radius, and many operate on a 4x10 schedule, allowing you to be home with your family on weekends.If you’re an Assistant Superintendent currently working in Western Washington and are looking to relocate to Eastern Washington, we encourage you to apply.What You’ll DoAs an Assistant Superintendent, you’ll work directly with the Superintendent and project teams to support field coordination, safety, and execution.Depending on project size and staffing, your responsibilities may include:
  • Assisting with daily field operations and subcontractor coordination
  • Supporting the layout and logistics for jobsite setup and self-perform work
  • Participating in preconstruction meetings, jobsite safety planning, and regular project updates
  • Helping maintain project schedules, tracking materials, and logging site activities
  • Manage and report self-perform labor activities through the timecard and weekly labor quantity reporting
  • Communicating field concerns to leadership and facilitating resolution
  • Participating in jobsite reviews and identifying potential labor/equipment needs
  • Supporting the mentoring of field personnel and fostering a collaborative team culture
  • Promoting and enforcing a safety-first mindset on the jobsite
What You Bring
  • Field experience on commercial construction sites (preferred: 3+ years depending on education)
  • Completion of a certified 4-year carpenter apprenticeship program or
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling and management software (Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam)
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and team collaboration
Other Requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record, as defined by Lydig’s insurance and vehicle policy (required for positions that include a company vehicle).
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, including a drug screen, criminal background check, and, if applicable, a credit check.
  • Lydig is a drug-free workplace, and all employees are considered to hold safety-sensitive positions. Testing for controlled substances, including cannabis, is required.
