Reports to: Tool Process Engineer/ Supervisor/ and or ManagerOverview: Under the direction of the Tool Process Engineer/ Supervisor or Manager, functions in the production environment with the responsibilities inclusive of but not limited to: die changes, material changes, crane operations, program changes, die adjustments, record keeping and preventative maintenance procedures in a timely quality manner while maintaining a safe working environmentResponsibilities:Operates and maintains robots, forklifts, hoists, and cranes to perform material movementEnter program into machines as required from production control schedulesConfers with the production process engineer and production control to establish die change schedules and follows up to assure completion of those schedulesMaintains stable processes for injection pressesCompliant with all OSHA and safe work practices when there are die changesEnsures Press parameters are within control limitsMake limited processing changes and record dataCollect or select samples for testing or for use modelsMarks items with details such as grade or acceptance-rejection statusCompare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products, materials samples to verify conformance to standardsClean, flush, maintain, calibrate, or repair instrument or test instruments or test equipment, such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, or height gaugesMeet with department supervisors or other personnel to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specificationsMust be flexible in shift assignments and ability to work overtime as requiredSuggests and supports affective scrap and cost reduction programsSupport the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.Education:High School Education or GEDExperience:Must have been a Group Leader KNA at least 2 yearsPreventive Maintenance KnowledgeUnderstanding of Tool and Die functions (heaters, ejectors, watering, etc.)Knowledge of Windows operating system and with Microsoft Office Suite- IJM: RJG Injection Molding Essentials Course (Site Specific TNMN)Training Specific to placement in positionLock Out Tag Out (LOTO)Electrical SafetyCrane Safety Certified TrainingConfined Spaces Training-VideoOther:Must be able to lift loads up to 40 lbsBasic Microsoft Office skills. i.e. (excel)Able to trouble shoot machinery, tools and equipmentSets the example in attendance, work safety, and housekeepingWork Environment: This job operates in a manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment.
