- Provide direct victim advocacy and support services specifically tailored to staff, faculty, and affiliates impacted by crime, misconduct of a concerning nature, or critical incidents on campus.
- Conduct comprehensive case management for FaST cases and victims of crime on campus, including intake, assessment, service planning, follow-up, and referral coordination.
- Perform behavioral threat assessments in collaboration with the University Police Department, Human Resources and the FaST team.
- Provide situational awareness and personal safety planning support to impacted individuals and departments, as applicable, and in coordination with other university offices, as requested, e.g. Office of Equity, Title IX.
- Maintain confidential and accurate records of all interactions and case details, following Clery Act reporting requirements, where applicable.
- Facilitate access to internal and external support resources, including counseling, legal assistance, financial assistance and medical services in alignment with the University Police Department’s Policy 315: Victim and Witness Assistance, FaST case management expectations, and the Colorado Victim Rights Act (VRA), as applicable.
- Collaborate closely with the University Police Department, Human Resources, medical personnel, Student Affairs case managers, Office of Equity, and other campus offices, as applicable, to develop and implement safety and support protocols for victims of crime on campus and FaST cases.
- Respond to critical incidents and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Coordinate psychological first aid services for members of the University Police Department and members of the campus community impacted by critical incidents.
- Participate in and lead training and outreach programs to educate the campus community on victim services and workplace threat mitigation activities.
- Flex on-campus presence to accommodate the needs of victim services and FaST case management, primarily working from the Police Department on Wednesdays and Human Resources offices on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nursing, Public Health, Human Resources, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in victim services, employee assistance, behavioral threat assessment, case management, or a related role.
- Licensed or certified in the one of the following areas: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), Certified Case Manager (CCM), Colorado Advocate Certification Program (CACP), National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP), or equivalent credential or clinical licensure.
- Certification in Threat Assessment or related specialized training including but not limited to the Stalking & Harassment Assessment & Risk Profile (SHARP), the Structured Interview for Violence Risk Assessment (SIVRA-35), the Violence Risk Assessment of the Written Word (VRAWW), etc.
- Experience working in a university, healthcare, or law enforcement environment.
- Knowledge of and experience working with trauma-informed organizational practices and employee assistance programs.
- Familiarity with resources available for crime victims within the Colorado community and healthcare systems.
- Strong understanding of victim advocacy principles, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and exercise sound judgment in complex scenarios.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse backgrounds, including those who may be experiencing heightened emotional distress.
- Proficiency in threat assessment and case management methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to provide after-hours support for critical incident response.
- Work a Hybrid Schedule: On-campus at Police Department and HR Office Suite, with up to 2 days remote. On-campus presence is required Tuesdays and Thursdays in the HR office suite, Wednesdays in the University Police Department. Additional on-campus days scheduled as needed to meet service demands.
- Work standard office hours 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with some evening or weekend hours to respond to urgent situations and address off-shift employee needs

- Sit or stand for extended periods while working in office settings.
- Move between different campus locations, including the University Police Department and Human Resources offices.

- Regular exposure to sensitive, distressing, or traumatic information related to victims of crime, misconduct of a concerning nature, and critical incidents.
- High level of emotional resilience and ability to maintain professionalism and empathy when supporting individuals in crisis.
