- Technical, unbiased voice to and from the customer regarding Quality matters and expectations, including the ability to halt a process if required.
- Oversees execution, management, and improvement of QMS process areas and procedures using lean principles and the ability to train others on the process.
- Mentor and assist development of Quality Engineering and Inspection personnel.
- Work directly with the plant staff to ensure Quality systems are in place that meet customer expectations.
- Monitor plant operations and work with the plant staff to recommend and implement actions to improve plant operations.
- Ensure prompt responses to customer complaints, corrective action requests, etc. in support of continuous improvement activities.
- Work directly with initiatives such as EOS, SAP, etc., to ensure seamless integration into plant QA operations.
- Determine best practices for common processes and work with plant personnel to implement.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering or closely related discipline or equivalent level of demonstrated knowledge acquired through experience and/or other training.
- Five years of experience in a Quality Assurance environment.
- G, D, & T knowledge preferred
- Quality System experience (Auditor training, AS9100, ISO9001, etc.) preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
- ASQ CQE preferred
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Comfortable with general accounting principles and earned value management is preferable.
- Experienced and comfortable with M.S. Office and Project applications.
