Position will have On-Site Concord, NH training - 16hours per week, part time. Hours are between 6:00am and 6:00pm- Can be flexible.Reviews a variety of reports for clinical and demographic information, assigns appropriate ICD-9-CM and/or ICD-10-CM/PCS diagnosis/procedure codes and/or CPT/HCPC procedure codes and enters this information into the electronic system for the purpose of maintaining a complete and accurate clinical data base. Production coding is primarily hospital outpatient. Audits provider documentation to ensure compliance with documentation and coding guidelines. Queries providers for clarifying documentation and other documentation as needed. Provides education to providers regarding documentation improvement opportunities.EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Certification, Registration & LicensureCPC, CCS, or RHIA, RHIT certification required.ExperienceCoding experience in a Health Information Management department in an acute care facility with a minimum of 2 years experience as a facility coder.Concord Hospital is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
