
Configuration Management Analyst

- Ensures the integrity and accuracy of Configuration Information (CI) records are withing Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- Populates database field to capture accurate data
- Coordinates, facilitates, and assists with Configuration Audits
- Supports coordination, tracking, planning, scheduling, and building components utilizing configuration management tools
- Monitors and enforces desired configurations to promote operation efficiency
- Preforms reviews, develops processes and documentations to ensure integrity of Configuration Records within the CMDB environment promoting healthy CM
- Solves complex problems, by taking a broad perspective to identify solutions
- May lead various projects
- Bachelor’s degree in in Configuration Management, IT Service Management, Change Management disciplines or in a related field and five (5) years of relevant experience in Change/Release Management, CI/CD, automation, and DevOps
- Or High School Diploma/GED and nine (9) years of relevant experience
- Certifications within the Configuration Management, IT Service Management, Change Management disciplines, or related field
- Experience with IT Service Management tools, Visual Basic, PowerBI, and Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Ability to handle multi-stream requests, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively
- Ability to learn additional systems as needed
- Ability to utilize automation to enhance workflow and processes
- Ability to work autonomously, with limited guidance
- Experience with writing requirement documents and documenting processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of configuration management principles
- Strong knowledge of configuration management process, principles and leading practices.
- Strong Knowledge of ServiceNow Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB)
- Creating and implementing configuration management strategies, processes, and procedures.
- Overseeing the configuration management process and CMDB tool, ensuring CIs are tracked complete and correctly throughout their lifecycle.
- Working with various teams, including IT, development, and operations, to ensure smooth integration of configuration management practices.
- Providing training and support to staff on configuration management processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ITIL or other relevant frameworks.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and under pressure.
