- Work with the Forbes Bros SCM team and collaborate with internal business unit partners to implement the most effective material delivery and storage
- Coordinate with operations for delivery of material to projects
- Ensure inventory is tracked to prevent shortages or excess inventory
- Maintain the recertification logs, project specific, for specialty tools
- Maintain client vendor relationship to ensure vendor inventory management systems are not compromised
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating material deliveries for projects
- Clearly demonstrate the capabilities to work within cross functional teams, with a continuous improvement mindset
- Understand the key drivers of the Distribution areas and Transmission projects being supported to identify and address current and future materials demands
- Meet the demands of multiple internal and external partners, with the appropriate sense of urgency; educate internal partners on material procedures and ensure adherence to these procedures
- Ensure that all material activities are aligned with the purchasing strategy and procurement plan
- Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned
- High School Diploma and/or Certificate/Diploma in Materials or Supply Chain Management, is required
- Two (2) + years' materials knowledge and experience in direct categories such as, but not limited to: Transmission and Distribution Maintenance Repair and Construction Field Services, is required
- CDL, is required
- Prior knowledge and experience in indirect categories such as Corporate Goods & Services
- Able and willing to work in remote project locations with operational work groups
- Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and communicate effectively
- Strong knowledge of provincial and federal regulations, codes, permits and approvals; as well as their technical application
