District Partners is engaged by a leading global manufacturer of asphalt machinery to help them hire a Site Controller. This role is central to the management of the site's accounting operations. This includes the creation of financial reports, upkeep of accounting records, and establishment of controls and budgets to minimize risk, ensure financial result accuracy, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.Responsibilities:
  • Ensure monthly financial statements are accurate.
  • Develop the budget through scheduling, data collection, analysis, and consolidation; propose financial strategies.
  • Guarantee comprehensive and precise support for financial transactions.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations for financial reporting.
  • Aid in operational planning to provide precise sales and net income forecasts.
  • Produce and keep up-to-date monthly financial statements and related schedules for both site and corporate purposes.
  • Oversee the month-end closing procedure, including the examination of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Take charge of the general ledger and all financial subsidiary ledgers, covering system-generated transactions.
  • Set up, apply, and oversee internal controls and policies to ensure alignment with GAAP and compliance with regulations relevant to publicly traded entities, like Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
  • Document and maintain detailed support for all financial transactions.
  • Facilitate periodic financial reporting for the site and corporation.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and other accounting functions, ensuring timely transactions.
  • Manage job costing, application of costing methods, and indirect cost allocation, alongside conducting various financial analyses.
  • Conduct research on accounting standards, providing guidance on complex business transactions.
  • Lead the preparation of a detailed annual budget and forecasts, including analysis and reporting to management.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of finance experience with progressively increasing responsibilities.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • CPA or CMA certifications are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in ERP and accounting software, financial analysis, and management of integrated applications.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and develop a strong financial team, promoting growth and opportunity.
