
Part Time Student Services Specialist - Admissions

- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Prior experience working in an office setting or customer service environment.
- Currently enrolled as a student at OSU-OKC
- Ability to answer income phone calls promptly and professionally and provide accurate information or direct calls to the appropriate department or individual.
- Ability to record messages and follow up on inquiries when necessary. Maintain accurate records of calls and inquiries in a shared Tracking System.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and preparing materials for distribution.
- Assist with front desk operations during busy periods, including greeting visitors and directing them appropriately.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly, and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.
- Accurate typing/data entry skills and demonstrated ability to work with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and also collaborate within a team environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to: office computers, fax machines, scanners, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Passion for assisting students with educational endeavors and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.
- Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and observe policies related to student privacy (FERPA).
- Assist students with forms, software, and services related to admission, enrollment, and other student services.
- Contact prospective students by various platforms to assist with questions and encourage admission and enrollment.
- Assist with student traffic during peak enrollment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
- Familiarity with the OSU-OKC campus and enrollment process.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to include some nights and weekends.
- Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone, via email, and various communication platforms.
- Duties require extended periods of sitting, talking and listening.
- Duties require extensive use of computers, telephone and other office equipment.
- Requires possible lifting of up to 25 lbs. (If an object weights more than 45 lbs., OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two-person lift).
