Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this role involves supervising quality team members and collaborating across departments to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. The Quality Supervisor leads efforts to maintain and improve quality systems, including incoming inspection and receiving, gage calibration, ISO compliance, and internal audits, while fostering a culture of quality awareness through training and shared learnings. This role plays a critical part in driving continuous improvement, ensuring operational excellence, and meeting customer quality expectations.Key Responsibilities:1. Quality Initiatives
  • Oversee and lead quality projects aimed at improving product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement strategies to reduce warranty claims and scrap costs.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain incoming and receiving inspection program.
2. Teams Supervision
  • Supervise and mentor quality team members, providing guidance and support.
  • Assign tasks and projects to team members, ensuring timely and effective completion.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
3. Collaboration
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to address quality issues and develop solutions.
  • Communicate quality goals and objectives to all relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field and have at least two years of manufacturing experience.
  • Prior training or certifications in Lean methodologies are preferred, highlighting the ability to drive process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • The role requires a strong understanding of operational processes, quality standards, and problem-solving techniques, as well as experience in project management and process development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and internal audit programs is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
  • Extended periods of sitting at a workstation.
  • Speaking in person and over the telephone or Teams online and the ability to hear, comprehend, and document detailed information from others.
  • Ability to type, reach and grasp.
  • Intermittent standing and walking within the plant environment.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing for extended periods over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing sites, including foundries, steel mills, machine shops, forging shops, assembly centers, etc.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Lead efforts to maintain and improve quality systems, including gage calibration and ISO compliance.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness through training programs and shared learnings.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Encourage continuous learning and improvement among team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce defects.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and make adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain the incoming and receiving inspection program.
  • Regular in-person attendance at work is a necessary function of the role.
