In this role you will get to As a SAFe® Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will play a crucial role in helping the successful execution of our United States Space Force (USSF) Agile Release Train (ART) and guiding our teams toward increased agility and efficiency supporting Defensive Cyber Operations Software and System development.What You'll Be Doing:
  • Participating in SAFe® Agile Software Development and Mission Deployment teams bringing new capabilities and automation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), in a SAFe® construct
  • Collaborate closely with teams, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure that the principles of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) drive business results
  • Foster an agile mindset across the individuals, teams, portfolio, organization based on the client needs and policies. Serve as a mentor to other agile practitioners, management, clients, and stakeholders to help increase adoption and excitement
  • Lead and help the activities of the SAFe Release Train, ensuring that all teams collaborate effectively to deliver business value. Function as a servant leader and enable the smooth execution of Program Increments (PIs) and other ceremonies.
  • Be involved in organizing Program Increment (PI) planning events, ensuring that all teams align their priorities and synchronize their work towards common program goals. Facilitate key SAFe® events, including Program Increment (PI) Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshops.
  • Set up relevant metrics and reporting mechanisms to track and communicate the progress of Agile teams and the overall release train.
  • Aid in removing impediments, obstacles, and roadblocks that may hinder team productivity or program success.
  • Drive continuous improvement through inspecting and adapting SAFe®practices and processes. Implement feedback loops to foster a culture of learning.
  • Ease communication and collaboration between teams, management, and other stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • 100% onsite is required in Colorado Springs, CO
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Must have a Masters Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other relevant Engineering field from an accredited university with 10 years of experience
  • Certifications as DevOps Engineer: SAFe® for Teams and AWS Dev Ops Engineer within 6 Months of start date
  • Ability to obtain and hold a Secret clearance
  • This role requires expert knowledge of SAFe® principles, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Have expert knowledge in the field of a DevOps Engineer
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Top Secret OR interim/active Secret with ability to get Top Secret
  • DoD 8140.03 Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CYSA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), etc.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)
  • Experience working on SAFE® Agile or Scrum development teams
  • Familiarity with Defensive Cyber Operations Concepts
