
Metrologist - Group Leader

- Act as liaison between the building scheduler, maintenance shops, and lab personnel to schedule preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.
- Perform equipment requalification activities on time.
- Working knowledge of the local CMMS.
- Execute qualification protocols for new equipment.
- Document maintenance-related activities in logbooks.
- Recommend changes to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
- Act as the local technical expert for equipment.
- Be able to technically review and verify qualification protocols and logbook entries.
- Communicate with other functions and external vendors regarding qualification issues and key operational objectives.
- Interact effectively with customers and support groups.
- Network with other areas to understand, recommend, and suggest best practices with regard to equipment maintenance, requalification testing, and other lifecycle activities.
- Be able to investigate Interact with Global Quality Lab Equipment function to set global corporate policy regarding equipment.
- Ability to investigate and troubleshoot equipment-related issues.
- Ability to work independently and accurately with minimal supervision
- Coach, train, and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements
- Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT
- Prepare and review job plans, conduct semiannual performance reviews, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, perform succession planning in preparation for growth
- Collaborate closely with leaders and clients in implementing overall business directives
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
- Bachelor's degree in physical science (chemistry, physics, etc.), or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
- Leadership experience
- 4+ years related lab experience
- Demonstrated ability to work as an independent, self-motivated, detail-oriented, result-driven and highly flexible team-player in a fast-paced working environment
- Strong focus on quality, teamwork, and productivity
- Proactive, positive, solution-oriented leadership style with ability to prioritize and coordinate simultaneous projects with varying deadlines

- Position is full-time, 8:00 am- 5:00 pm Overtime as needed.
