The Financial Risk Analyst is a member of the Corporate Risk Management organization providing mathematical and technical support in the risk management of insurance products. This role works as a member of the team under general direction with a focus on financial risk management and capital management. This role will also work in collaboration with experts across the company including finance, investments, actuarial, and accounting to quantify, analyze and influence decisions on financial risk and capital.What you do:
  • Supports completion of projects including:
  • Building new or modifying existing asset and liability valuation models in C# or Macro-enabled Excel spreadsheets
  • Business risk and related forecasts
  • Valuation, financial reporting, and analyses
  • Support investment management functions, including:
  • Understanding and analysis of hedge efficiency
  • Liquidity assessment and management
  • Financial risk reporting
  • Assist in preparation of financial reports, memorandums, and other required analyses including:
  • Requests from external auditors, state regulators, and rating agencies
  • Communicates financial risk results to cross-functional areas including:
  • Business unit and other Support unit personnel
  • Other stakeholders
  • Assist, performs, or reviews financial risk research
  • Assist with training and direction of other entry-level risk analysts
  • Utilize artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g., generative AI).
What you bring:
  • 2+ years’ experience required
  • Four-year degree in Math, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance/Economics, Statistics or related field required
  • Advanced experience with Excel, SQL, and object-oriented programming (C#)
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship.
Range: $57,000 -$114,000Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location.
