
NCS Engineer Intern- Virginia (Summer 2026)

- Performing NCS analyses to define the safety basis for process operation.
- Advising production personnel on the impact of process changes and facility modifications.
- Executing computer modules to evaluate normal operations and process upsets relative to NRC requirements.
- Determining limits and controls to maintain operations critically safe.
- Evaluating accident sequences and designating items relied on for safety to prevent a criticality accident.
- Approving operating and maintenance procedures important to safety of operations.
- Participating in audits, inspections, and investigations of unusual incidents.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be currently enrolled in a B.S. or MS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited institution. Nuclear engineering degree is preferred.
- NCS related experience is a plus.
- Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
