
2nd Shift CNC Machinist

- Ability to setup and safely operate Haas CNC Mills and Lathes.
- Transformation of blueprint information to the workpiece.
- Understanding of and ability to utilize a tape measure, square and scribe, calipers, protractor, punch and micrometers.
- Knowledgeable in aspects of jigs and fixtures; ability to perform setups involving blocking, aligning, and securing pieces.
- Ability to download and edit programs at the machine. Selection of proper speeds and feeds, tooling, and operational sequences best suited to materials and nature of operation.
- Proper and accurate completion of labor reports, material issues, Kit lists, scrap reports and material moves.
- Ability to understand production schedules and ability to track releases.
- Routine maintenance of Haas mill and lathe. Includes the ability to maintain coolant levels, remove chips and debris, and keeping work area clean and organized.
- Competent use of hand, bench, and light machine operations to perform deburring, filing, grinding and polishing on sawed and machined parts.
- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school or four or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math along with algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
