We invite you to apply to be a part of our University community!Job DescriptionThe Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives will serve in a leadership capacity for the Albion Center for Professional Development tasked with overseeing strategic solutions management and internal/external relations. The executive director will provide leadership for large-scale, complex initiatives that advance Albion Center's mission and growth, by driving planning, execution, and assessment of key strategic projects in alignment with the goals of Albion Center's senior leadership. The executive director will serve as a thought-partner with Albion leadership to translate strategic vision into actionable plans, leading cross-functional teams to implement initiatives that enhance online education and student success.Key Responsibilities1. Builds and Manages Relations with Core Stakeholders (35%)
  • Oversees relationships with districts, schools, state education agencies, and education associations in strategic states to fortify and expand the Center's impact and reach.
  • Collaborates with the key Albion leaders to expand and strengthen market share in states and districts.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships within the university surrounding policies, practices, business rules, continuity of operations, and strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitates cross-departmental/stakeholder collaboration and partnerships.
  • Represents (in concert with other Albion leadership) the Albion Center at campus meetings with university leaders.
  • Builds and maintains relationships within the community, region, and state of Idaho.
2. Strategic Initiatives (35%)
  • Serves as a thought-partner with leadership to ideate and develop initiatives advancing the goals of the Albion Center.
  • Executes and supports the management and coordination of strategic initiatives and special projects including the ambassador and scholarship programs.
  • Maintains expertise in education policies, practices and innovations that directly and indirectly impact the Albion Center's mission and business model.
  • Engages in strategic dialogues with senior-level stakeholders; articulates forward thinking concepts, visions, and action plans.
3. Support Team (30%)
  • Provides expertise and recommendations to Albion Center team members on tactical and strategic problem-solving.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of business processes, course quality/rigor, and enhancing the student experience.
  • Provides strategic guidance to Senior Managing Director and Albion leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate degree
  • At least seven (7) years experience in a leadership position
  • At least three (3) years experience in higher education or K-12
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel both in and out of state throughout the year
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain focus and productivity during periods of high volume or stress
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Idaho State University, the State of Idaho policies, and the regional education landscape
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive measurable revenue growth
  • Proven success in maintaining and expanding long-term partnerships with institutional, governmental, or corporate stakeholders
  • Experience leading a high-level team in an educational organization/company or workforce development setting with demonstrable success in meeting growth and performance goals
  • Evidence of managing a partnership pipeline, including cultivating new opportunities and sustaining ongoing collaborations that align with organizational objectives

Salary range will be between $100,000 - $125,000 commensurate with education and experience.
