- Managing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the medical office, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Developing and implementing office policies and procedures in compliance with healthcare regulations and industry best practices.
- Collaborating with clinical staff to optimize patient flow, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall patient experience.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals.
- Coordinating and overseeing the billing and coding process, including insurance claims and patient billing.
- Implementing and maintaining electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in patient data management.
- Conducting regular performance evaluations for office staff, providing constructive feedback and facilitating professional development opportunities.
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Handling patient inquiries, complaints, and conflict resolution in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Collaborating with other department managers to streamline cross-functional workflows and improve organizational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 5 years of experience in a medical office management or healthcare administration role preferred
- In-depth knowledge of medical office operations, including billing, coding, EHR systems, and compliance regulations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with staff, patients, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of healthcare workflows.
