Working here is your opportunity to shape an industry that’s vital to us all.Current NeedAs a senior member of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) within McKesson As a senior member of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) within McKesson Technology (MT), this position plays a critical role in translating complex data into strategic insights that drive enterprise decision-making, portfolio optimization, and operational efficiency. The Sr. BI Analyst will lead data initiatives that enhance visibility, drive accountability, and support performance measurement across portfolios, programs, and IT investments.Position DescriptionThis role requires a high degree of technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and business acumen to influence outcomes at both tactical and strategic levels. You will champion data quality, standardization, and governance practices, working closely with stakeholders across MT, finance, and business units to design and deliver impactful analytical products and visualizations.This position will focus on designing and deploying automation solutions and scalable data products using tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric. You will collect, connect, and transform data from a variety of systems, building reusable workflows, apps, and self-service analytics that drive decision-making and operational efficiency. A key responsibility will be to establish and protect trusted data sources—ensuring they are well-governed, consistently structured, and easily accessible for business users.The role requires a strong understanding of automation, low-code/no-code platforms, and data modeling practices that support both operational reporting and proactive insights. You will work closely with internal teams to translate business needs into automated solutions, self-service dashboards, and predictive analytics. Responsibilities include designing user-friendly interfaces, developing automated data pipelines, enabling self-service capabilities, and supporting best practices in data quality, governance, and reusability.Travel may be required in some circumstances
10%Key ResponsibilitiesLeverage AI Powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate data exploration, automate repetitive analysis tasks, and enhance storytelling with data.Design and implement automation workflows to streamline data collection, transformation, and reporting processes.Analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources (e.g., SAP, Planview, SQL databases) to identify trends, patterns, and insights)Uses Structured Query Language (SQL) to gather and assess data from the reporting database, transactional database, operational data store, and external systems to assist internal and external leadership in decision making.Establish and champion data integrity protocols. Partner with IT and business units to monitor, improve, and enforce data quality standards across systems impacting EPMO reporting and analytics.Lead efforts to forecast trends and model portfolio performance using advanced statistical techniques and business scenario analysis.Reasonable and consistent attendance to fulfill the requirements of the positionMinimum RequirementsTypically requires 7+ years of relevant experienceCritical Skills7+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or portfolio analytics, ideally in an enterprise IT environmentAdvanced Power BI expertise, including data modeling, DAX, and development of impactful data visualizations tailored for executive and operational audiencesHands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric for unified data management and analytics across data engineering and business intelligence workflowsProficient in Power Automate to streamline and automate workflows between Microsoft and third-party applicationsStrong command of SQL for complex querying, data extraction, and transformation across multiple data platformsExperience with Databricks and Snowflake for scalable data processing, pipeline development, and advanced analytics use casesAwareness and practical application of Microsoft Copilot or similar generative AI tools to accelerate insights, reporting, and documentationProven ability to partner across IT, finance, and business units to deliver actionable insights that drive strategic decisionsAdditional SkillsFamiliarity with Planview or similar portfolio/project management platformsWorking knowledge of Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and integration into BI workflowsStrong understanding of data architecture principles, including data governance, integration, and metadata managementEducationBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)Physical Requirements:General Office DemandsWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
