Number13814SharemoreRohde & Schwarz USA has an opening in the Engineering department of the Defense Security & Critical Infrastructure (DS&CI) division. This position is a unique engineering position that provides the candidate the ability to drive the cross-collaboration efforts between two product divisions with RSNA and will drive solution mapping within in the US ADT market in collaboration with technology partners. In this position, you will interface with engineering, sales, product management teams (RSA and KG) and customers as a technical leader for our signal and satellite intelligence solutions. This position reports to the Director of Engineering and provides an excellent opportunity to excel in a variety of engineering efforts focused on future growth within our organization and division segments. This is an opportunity for a candidate with an aptitude for organization, attention to detail, and interested in being a trusted technology focal point to further develop engineering, sales, and business skills and be a significant contributor to our companies' divisions continued success.Your tasks
  • Develop and provide training and customer facing technology, product specific material, and competitive information to drive understanding and competency for sales and engineering staff
  • Assist Sales, Engineering and Customers to map signal and satellite intelligence solutions to appropriate applications and use cases
  • Internal and External presales and post sales customer support to include solution presentations, virtual and in person demonstrations, and training
  • Create technical proposals, and trade studies for market positioning and partnership possibilities
  • Serve as technical interface between R&S product management teams, sales, engineering and program management teams
  • Translate customer applications to solutions offerings within our product portfolio.
  • Work closely with the 3rd party solution partners and stakeholders

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance is mandatory
  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant engineering degree.
  • 10+ years of experience Signal Intelligence, signal analysis, I/Q recording, interference hunting, satellite intelligence, TEMPEST, TSCM, ELINT, EW Applications.
  • Solid understanding and experience in high fidelity signal analysis software and RF frontend capture components (i.e. receivers, antennas, ADCs)
  • RF target generation with a Vector Signal Generator, and PDW streaming applications from a threat emitter database (i.e. EWIRDB)
  • Digital I/Q waveform generation, analysis and modeling and RF characterization (phase, time, amplitude, and frequency)
  • Proficient in relevant business tools including MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and technical writing skills.
  • Strong and confident communication and customer interface skills (verbal and written).
  • Proactive, highly organized, analytical and self-managed.
  • Ability to travel throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, up to 30%.

Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level.
