If you're looking for interesting workdays and a chance to make a difference, this Family Time Coordinator position may be for you!Summary of DutiesAs a Family Time Coordinator, you will:Coordinate and schedule visits, ensuring safety and clear communication with all parties involved.Explain visit agreements and rules to clients, families, and caregivers, setting clear expectations.Monitor visits, address any issues that arise, and document outcomes accurately.Support caseworkers by engaging with clients, contributing to assessments, and assisting in decision-making.Provide transportation for children and families, ensuring safety during travel and visits.Prepare court notes, attend meetings and conferences, and testify in court to support legal proceedings.Maintain accurate records and give feedback to service workers to facilitate change and review client progressRepresent the organization at community events by assisting with planning, setup, and engagement activities to foster positive, personable connections with community members and reduce barriers to interaction with Child Welfare services.Minimum QualificationsOne year of experience working in a human services or behavioral health setting; ORAn associate degree in any field; ORAn equivalent combination of education and experience.Essential AttributesWe are looking for candidates with:Experience proactively communicating through different modes of communication (examples: cell phone, email, in-person, Microsoft Teams).Experience working with children in a professional or volunteer capacity.Experience accurately and objectively documenting observations without bias.Experience using time management, organization, and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.Experience working alongside colleagues to achieve a common goal.Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, and Outlook.Experience providing service with a trauma-informed lens to vulnerable families who may exhibit challenges in controlling their emotions and de-escalating emotionally charged situations.Working ConditionsWork will take place in offices, participants' homes, and various community sites.The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm PT, with possible fluctuations based on service needs.Occasional compensation overtime may be required, including evening and weekend work.Travel with the purpose of transporting children and occasionally parents are required. Some travel may be hours away.You may work with individuals experiencing trauma or crisis, some who may have difficulty managing their emotions.Quick decision-making may be necessary to ensure the safety of yourself and others.Activities include traversing stairs, moving on uneven terrain, and assisting children (up to 50 pounds) in and out of car seats.Attention all candidates!
