The Administrative Professional 2/Investigator Assistant plays an important part at the Board. In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Receiving training in investigative procedures and techniques and laws and rules applicable to investigations handled by Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board.
  • Conducting basic investigations of applicant criminal records and gathering preliminary data to supplement investigations being conducted by higher-level investigators including researching and studying records, reports, and documents.
  • Interviewing parties or witnesses in-office or by telephone.
  • Gathering documentation and evidence.
  • Conducting continuing education audits of OTPAT Board license holders according to the requirements of the specific profession and process.
  • Recording and tracking complaints including entering information into and retrieving information from complaint system and/or eLicense.
  • Communicating with complainants and monitoring progress of complaints until response received and ready for investigation.
  • Responding to Board correspondence inquiries.
  • Monitoring compliance of board actions.
  • Transmitting decisions and directives
  • Overseeing case record retention.
  • Researching and analyzing materials and information for Executive Director and Enforcement Supervisor, Enforcement Review Panel and Enforcement Division.
  • Drafting correspondence and documents including subpoenas.
  • Providing technical information and advice to administrators to aid in decision making.
  • Assisting in preparing for chapter 119 hearings.
  • Working on special administrative or investigative assignments and projects.
Qualifications
  • 18 months experience or 18 months training in secretarial/administrative professional field.
  • Or completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college.
  • Or 6 months experience as Administrative Professional 1, 16871.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
