University of Colorado Anschutz Medical CampusDepartment: Cardiology – Non-Invasive CardiologistJob Title: Open Rank - Assistant, Associate, ProfessorPosition #00834656 – Requisition #37109Job Summary:The University of Colorado School of Medicine’s Division of Cardiology has an immediate opening for a non-invasive cardiologist to join our team as a clinician educator. This position will involve a range of general cardiology responsibilities split between the flagship University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus and one of its associated hospital-outpatient department ambulatory clinics in the Denver Metro area.The preferred candidate should be board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine by the ABIM. The candidate should also be trained and proficient in echocardiography services.There will be opportunity for academic work, including education, investigation, and administration within a large academic medical center.This is a terrific opportunity to join the region’s only comprehensive academic cardiology division dedicated to providing exceptional, cutting-edge clinical care to patients in the Denver Metro region, Colorado, and surrounding states.Key Responsibilities:
  • Approximately 50-75% of patient care on the Anschutz Medical Campus is split between ICU/inpatient rounding, clinic, and ancillary cardiology services at the University of Colorado Hospital Heart and Vascular Center.
  • Approximately 25-50% ambulatory cardiac services at one of the outlying hospital outpatient department clinics in the Denver Metro area.
  • ~2.0 days of outpatient clinic time per week (four half-day sessions), some of which will be dedicated to cardio-obstetrics and a third day focused on echocardiography.
  • Prioritize referrals from Ob-Gyn and Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Perform echocardiography +/- nuclear cardiology services
