- Process Improvement: Implement process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of the legal team.
- Resource Management: Increase the use of resources, including personnel, technology, and external vendors, to ensure the legal team operates within its AOP and meets organizational goals.
- Reporting: Manage legal team metrics and reporting.
- Goals: establish goals, maintain reporting tools, and dashboards to monitor the performance of the legal team.
- Improve: identify areas for improvement.
- Technology: Implement technology solutions that enhance the efficiency of the legal team, such as contract management systems, e-discovery tools, e-billing and auditing, and legal research databases
- Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation within the legal team by encouraging the use of new technologies, processes and best practices
- Change Management: Lead change management projects to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes within the legal team
- A Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Advanced degrees or certifications in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of in-house legal experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal operations, legal management managing budgets, implementing technology solutions, and driving operational efficiency within a legal team.
- Experience working in a company with global business operations
- Experience with Legal Tracker or similar e-billing legal cost and matter management system
- Excel experience (can perform complex functions)
- PowerBI, Tableau or other data reporting tools used to manage business functions
- Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Travel up to 30%.
