- Work as part of a design team under the direct supervision of a PE.
- Oversight of CAD Operators, Technicians and Interns performing design and production work using CAD standards and procedures to create an effective team.
- Create and modify detailed drawings and designs for engineering projects using CADD software.
- Work closely with engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
- Verify the accuracy of drawings and designs, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Make necessary revisions to drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers.
- Organize and maintain a comprehensive database of all drawings and related documents.
- Conduct quality checks on drawings and designs to ensure they are free from errors and comply with project standards.
- Provide technical support and assistance to engineering teams and other stakeholders as needed.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Review project design documents prepared by engineering specialists and ensure redlines are incorporated into document drafts
- Actively participate in implementing and monitoring continuous improvement initiatives to improve project quality
- Support multiple projects when needed and help ensure timely completion of assignments
- At least 7 to 10 years of experience as a Civil Engineering Designer
- Civil Design experience in Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, municipal, and county design projects
- Experience in Bentley ORD is required
- Ability to work independently as a self-motivator and as part of a team
- Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D in addition to Bentley products adds value
- Solid relationship and team building skills
- Multi-discipline teams to meet challenges that are often complicated by aging infrastructure and shrinking budgets.
- Extensive knowledge in planning, designing and managing transportation projects to move people and goods safely and reliably.
