The Quality Manager will lead a team of over 50 quality professionals to enhance and implement robust quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9102 standards. They will play a key role in solving production challenges, improving on-time delivery, and fostering a culture of quality across all shifts in a dynamic, high-tech manufacturing environment.The Quality Manager will:
  • Lead and develop a quality team of direct and indirect reports, ensuring skill growth and strong performance
  • Oversee and improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9102)
  • Implement and maintain quality processes, procedures, and documentation across the department
  • Use statistical tools and root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure product and process reliability
  • Collaborate with design engineering to integrate quality standards into product development
  • Manage supplier quality systems, including audits and supplier performance improvement
  • Oversee incoming and final inspection processes to maintain material and product quality
  • Generate quality metrics and reports, driving data-informed continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with manufacturing and other departments to address bottlenecks and improve on-time delivery
  • Ensure cross-functional communication with production, engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams on quality matters
  • Foster a culture of quality and accountability across all shifts and employee levels within the plant

  • Minimum 10 years of quality management experience, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace industries
  • Strong background in leading and developing quality teams of varying sizes
  • Proven experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9102)
  • Hands-on experience implementing quality processes, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Skilled in root cause analysis, statistical methods, and problem-solving techniques
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies
  • Familiarity with supplier quality management, including audits and supplier performance improvement
  • Knowledge of inspection methods for incoming materials, in-process, and final product quality
  • Proficiency with quality reporting, metrics, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) implementation
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
  • Six Sigma BlackBelt or equivalent quality certifications highly preferred
  • Experience with optical manufacturing or precision components is a strong plus, but not required
