  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint software is a strong plus.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in financial and managerial accounting within a large-scale organization (annual revenues exceeding $125 million).
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to attract, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining financial policies, procedures, and internal control systems.
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and analytical review.
  • Highly self-driven and capable of thriving under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on time with minimal oversight.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word; strong overall PC skills required.
Day to Day Responsibilities:Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Controller to work closely with the executive team and provide strategic financial support to the Chief Executive Officer. This leadership role is central to the organizations financial integrity and operational excellence.Core Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver insightful financial reports to support executive decision-making.
  • Lead and manage the financial accounting team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the accounting function; direct reports include the Payroll Manager and Accounting Manager.
  • Oversee the preparation of reconciliations, schedules, subsidiary ledgers, job cost adjustments, and journal entries to support financial statement accuracy.
  • Maintain and enhance the accounting infrastructure, including systems, procedures, and controls.
  • Design, implement, and monitor robust financial policies and internal control frameworks.
  • Communicate critical business issues and financial insights to executive leadership in a timely manner.
  • Direct the annual audit process for domestic operations and affiliated entities.
  • Collaborate with external CPA firms to ensure accurate and timely income tax filings.
  • Manage accounting for equity instruments, deferred compensation plans, and employee receivables.
  • Sustain and strengthen banking relationships to support financial operations.
  • Lead the development and execution of tax planning strategies.
  • Administer employer 401(k) contributions, conduct non-discrimination testing, and manage census reporting.
  • Oversee the Accounts Payable function to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Produce monthly cash flow forecasts to guide financial planning and liquidity management.
