SummaryResponsible for providing clerical support for the Resource and Referral program with emphasis on subsidy and licensed exempt providers. Responsible for assisting and obtaining information from family choice LE child care providers.Duties
  • Answers calls from families/LE providers. Monitors and track missing info. Notifies parents/LE providers on what is missing from their documents.
  • Obtains and enters information from newly licensed child care providers into the database. Performs follow-up calls to child care providers to update their information. Includes matching the child care list provided by the State Department of Human Services, USDA Food Program, and accreditation organizations into the database.
  • Tracks daily record of processed calls/application as needed
  • Fields and troubleshoots any inquiries with regards to WLS Database as it relates to PATCH.
  • Enter data and forms in the DHS workload management program, the DHS child care system to record (HANA), and the DHS Electronic Case File (ECF) system as applicable to manage both hard copy and electronic child care applications.
  • Warm hand off to CCR&R Specialist if family is looking for child care.
  • Keep R&R manager updated on available subsidy opportunity for families.
RequirementsMinimum Qualification Requirements:
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Requires basic knowledge of customer service and oral communication skills.
  • Requires computer and typing ability.
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
  • Knowledge of parenting and child care issues.
  • Knowledge of the state’s child care licensing requirements is preferred.
Education/Experience:
  • Degree in early childhood education or related, preferred.
  • Experience as a child care provider is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with parents is preferred.
