Lifepoint Health has an opportunity for a Senior - Analyst - Business Systems. The Senior - Analyst - Business Systems is responsible for meeting the needs of internal and external LifePoint customers and supporting the Cerner Registration and Cerner Scheduling application by planning, supporting, and implementing information systems for Revenue Cycle Management. The Senior - Analyst - Business Systems acts as a liaison between facility departments and IS for software issues and/or optimization. This position provides the knowledge and skills to meet non-clinical staff and/or hospital/clinics/legal medical records needs and performs in accordance with LifePoint Health standards and policies. The Senior - Analyst - Business Systems is a highly trained individual who must resolve problems under critical time constraints, operates under minimal supervision, and identifies opportunities for business process improvements using information technologies.
Provides subject matter expertise, input and guidance to the functional development, implementation, and related meaningful use of Oracle/Cerner Electronic Health Records (EHR), the patient registration and scheduling operations, in support of the organizational strategic direction within Lifepoint Healthcare venues. Provides non-clinical, informatics, and experience-based knowledge to the team while assuring inclusion of others within the Cerner team as appropriate to meet objectives.
Essential Functions:
  • Analyze and present various scheduling and registration requirements, utilization, and trend across Lifepoint markets to drive adoption and reduce costs.
  • Participates in coordinating any application changes, including maintenance/patches, software changes.
  • Works with customers to resolve break/fix issues and needs for the clinical EHR.
  • Maintains a role to plan, deploy, and remediate technology initiatives and patient outcomes with facility directors and the appropriate Health Support Center (HSC) and facility stakeholders.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) associated with scheduling and registration workflows, improvements, and solutions deployments to imbed operational technology into respective workflows, improving productivity, and patient outcomes.
  • Primarily responsible for the Cerner solutions requirements and workflows, data retention, and Regulatory associated build items.
  • Supports the repeatable model(s) of deployment for all types, including but not limited to, Joint Venture (JV), Post-Acute, Acute, etc.
  • Maintain strong role and work collaboratively in guiding the development and deployment of materials and process design associated with area(s) of responsibility, including training programs, sample ideal process flows, templates, governance models, etc.
  • Direct knowledge and build within Cerner tools for existing and new sites.
  • Support the quality initiatives throughout the organization and recommend system solutions or aids to enhance the technology solutions for improved patient outcomes.
  • Work directly with Cerner Oracle team in the design, prioritization, and adoption of on-going improvements to non-clinical solutions. Collaborate to create cross functional relationships with peers and within facilities to provide guidance in the adoption of non-clinical documentation systems and other non-clinical technologies, use of data, with the goal to achieve positive patient outcomes with LifePoint Health.

Exhibit a solid understanding and knowledge of Cerner Non-Clinical and registration and scheduling build tools and workflows. (i.e. , DCPTools, Bedrock, Clinical Reporting, Powerform, ESH, Rules, MPages, etc.).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Radiology, Nursing, or other healthcare background preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of multiple workflows in Patient Access environments (Registration, Scheduling, Customer Service, etc.).
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Acute Care and Physician office Registration and Scheduling processes and operations to include:
o Understands the workflow for registration for acute care facilities and physician offices to include encounter types, Locations, Pre-Registrations, and Eligibility Checking.
o Understands the workflow for scheduling for physician offices to include appointment types, locations, ancillary department scheduling, Check In and Check Out.
o Must Have At least 3-5 years of implementation and support experience with Cerner Millennium Registration and Scheduling
o Experience with Cerner Millennium's Practice Management/Revenue Cycle: Registration, Cerner Registration Management, Practice Management/Revenue cycle Scheduling, Scheduling Management
o Content for Acute Care, Experian Integration and Access Management required.
o Basic knowledge of database concepts, sFTP processes and integration practices
o Advanced level of knowledge in Excel, Access or other ETL tools
o Quick ability to learn and implement newly acquired skills
o Solutions orientated, self-starter, adaptable to change
o Excellent written and verbal communications skills
