- Ensure timely submission of FLRAs, permits, incident reports, and safety documentation
- Prepares and submits Requests for Information and similar documents to obtain response to technical questions from Client and/or Engineer
- Prepares and transmits submittals required for approval of technical issues, vendor documents, and material information
- Ensures Project quality requirements are incorporated into field installation requirements
- Prepares and updates Project Schedule based on input from construction supervision
- Publishes schedules as required for Client and/or Company including narrative explanation of schedule with support from others
- Reads, reviews, and understands Client Contract content and requirements with support from others
- Ensures selection of qualified material suppliers
- Completes material purchase requisitions and ensures issue of applicable purchase orders in accordance with Company policy
- Negotiates with suppliers and subcontractors for the benefit of the Company and Project within limits of authority
- Communicate with Client concerning changes in Contract scope or terms with goal to obtain appropriate Contract Change Order
- Prepares and submits necessary Change Order information to Client and transmit submittals required by Contract
- Responds to all Client comments and questions
- Reviews supplier and subcontractor requests for change order for accuracy and compliance with terms of the agreement
- Rejects or provides/obtains approval after review and implementation of any corrections
- Tracks and manages overall changes in the Project and reports changes to Company or other Departments, as required
- Acts to prevent potentially negative HSE, quality, cost, schedule, etc. impacts to Company and Project
- Tracks defined Project risk conditions, cost and other impacts associated with defined Project risks
- Seeks ways to mitigate risks to prevent negative impacts to the Company and Project
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
- Minimum three (3) years of construction field experience in linear construction, is required (internship or co-op time will be considered)
- Bachelor level degree (B.S.) in Construction Management, an Engineering discipline related to the Company's work, or similar technical degree, is required
- Preferred experience managing construction projects with contract values of at least $750,000
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Excel, and project tracking software (e.g., Procore, SiteDocs)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, dependable, and safety-oriented with meticulous attention to detail
- Able and willing to travel as required and work extended/flexible hours if required to accommodate project/site hours of operation
- Able and willing to provide a valid driver's license and an acceptable drivers abstract
