- Work as a technical leader and team member in a cross-functional team environment to deliver business needed results
- Develop project plans, offer technical insights including unique formulated blends, project feasibility analysis, and execute the projects to meet project milestones
- Be part of Food RDA technology team: help to develop and implement the technology maps of functional ingredient, working with customers and suppliers to develop the science and enabling technologies that will support the development of innovative products unique to their applications
- Work with customers in launching new products, giving trainings on new technologies, and helping trouble shoot problems, offering technical solutions
- Serve as a technical resource and expert for both internal and external customers
- Act as a leader and collaborator, contributing to the regional and global technical strategy projects and innovation programs
- Offer coaching and trainings to junior team members or other RDA scientists for their competency development
- Broadly trained food science professional with ample experience and knowledge in antioxidants related to the application areas of meat products, sauce and dressing, fats and oils, bakery, pet food or other culinary applications.
- Capable of leading and managing innovation projects through stage gate process and coordinating RDA inputs with commercial inputs to deliver the project results.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Food Science and Technology or related disciplines in Chemistry or Biochemistry (or other equivalent discipline).
- 5+ years' experience in food research and application labs.
- Broad knowledge of antioxidant products and their applications in food is strongly desirable.
- A good understanding of the principles of food science, food ingredient functionalities, analytical techniques, and food processing is required.
- Customer focus, drive for results/can-do mentality is a must. Capable of building trusted relationship with external and internal customers to become their go-to expert.
- Ability to anticipate, investigate and resolve problems related to raw materials, methodology, or finished product applications and scale up
- Strong people skills (both in leading a project and in working with peers and management) is strongly desired, with open and clear communication skills. Capable of working effectively in cross-functional team environment.
- High level of knowledge of recipe ingredients, raw materials and their function and proactivity uses new raw materials and advances technology understanding for the company
- Able to initiate projects and bring new ideas into the organization. Capable of self-management, and multiple project/tasks management.
