- Responsible to provide skilled maintenance to equipment and facilities including but not limited to production process equipment, machinery, tools and facilities systems and structures.
- Receives, performs, and completes maintenance, repair, installation, and assembly work orders within allowable time frames.
- Performs regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery, processing equipment and facilities systems.
- Diagnoses problems affecting acceptable operation of process equipment, machinery, tools and facility equipment. Develops sequenced course of action for repair.
- Disassembles, adjusts, repairs, or replaces components, then reassembles process equipment, machinery, tools, and facilities systems. Participates or conducts tests to assure proper operating characteristics and ability.
- Assist in the installation of electrical, air, and water supply drops.
- Performs all inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair activities in compliance with standard maintenance procedures, operating manuals, manufacturers specifications, drawings and diagrams, and federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
- Participates in preventative maintenance and total preventative maintenance activities as directed. Participates with other work teams to identify, define, and establish process stability and improvement.
- Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work environment. Participate in daily 5S program for the maintenance areas. Assures that all tools are accounted returned to designated areas and in working order.
- Regularly communicates problems and improvement opportunities to immediate supervisor verbally or via email.
- Performs other duties or projects as assigned that support rapid improvement and constant growth.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years in troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of and experience in industrial controls
- Basic skills in reading and interpreting electrical/hydraulic schematics
- Basic knowledge of the purpose and operations of plasma and laser cutting tables, forming and CNC machining.
- Basic understanding of the operation of the PLC’s (programmable logic controls)
- Formal apprenticeship program or higher education in industrial technology
- Ability to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position
- Ability to perform a full range of maintenance activity on process equipment, machinery, tools, and facilities systems
- Requires the ability to diagnose maintenance problems and establish corrective courses of action
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions, maintain complete records and interpret plans, diagrams, operating manuals, and specifications
- Ability to establish a sequenced maintenance plan
- Ability to read precision instruments and perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to observe and follow all safety rules and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to operate a variety of machinery, tools and welding
- Typically works in a manufacturing environment, standing for long periods of time, and requires the ability to move materials weighing up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to operate small hand tools as well as common shop floor equipment
