- Conduct Proof of Concept of Aspentech Switch Order Management (SOM) functions and utility distribution switch order business processes.
- Provide scope/requirements documentation to complete implementation and configuration of the SOM product.
- Configure and customize Aspentech SOM to meet business requirements.
- Define and manage different switch types to support operational needs.
- Set up and maintain request types for switch order processes.
- Design and optimize Switch Order & Request workflows.
- Customize the layout of Switch Orders for operational clarity.
- Configure individual step grids and rules to enforce business logic.
- Configure integration between SOM and Outage Management System (OMS) modules.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into SOM and OMS configurations.
- Build SOM interfaces leveraging WebMethods or APIs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues to ensure reliability and performance.
- Provide documentation on data mapping, configurations, testing, and best practices.
- Support testing and validation during system updates or enhancements.
- 5+ years of IT analyst experience.
- 3 years of switch operations IT projects in utility distribution.
- Proven expertise in business-side configuration of Aspentech SOM, including:
- Configuring switch types and request types.
- Building and optimizing workflows.
- Designing Switch Order layouts.
- Setting up step grids and rules.
- Strong understanding of switch order management processes in utility distribution.
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
