Outside Sales Representative - Lighting & Controls

- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities across commercial, industrial, and institutional markets
- Promote lighting and controls products to specifiers, contractors, and electrical distributors
- Secure product specifications with engineers, architects, and lighting designers
- Generate project quotes and close sales in coordination with the internal team
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers
- Provide product recommendations tailored to customer needs
- Conduct product presentations, training sessions, and lunch-and-learns for clients
- Develop a territory sales plan and sales call schedule to effectively cover accounts across Alaska
- Track and report on activity and potential sales opportunities
- Collaborate with manufacturer representatives to support account growth
- Travel regularly within Alaska and annually attend a sales retreat in Washington
- 3+ years of outside sales experience in the lighting or electrical industry
- Strong understanding of lighting technologies, lighting controls, and energy codes
- Experience calling on specifiers, contractors, and distributors
- Self-motivated with excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Based in Alaska or willing to relocate; valid driver’s license and ability to travel
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- LC (Lighting Certified) or other relevant certifications
- Existing relationships within the Alaska construction and electrical community
