Job Description:OverviewThe RN Manager of Hospital Operations works closely with inpatient leaders in the Carle West region regarding daily operations. The Hospital Operations Manager has oversight of the Nursing Administration department working closely with leaders throughout Carle Health System. This position supervises the responsibilities of the House Supervisor team in the West region which includes Carle Methodist, Pekin, Proctor and Young Minds in addition oversight over the Clinical resource nursing staff.This position will be responsible for assessment and utilization staffing resources to maintain highly effective and efficient patient throughput and supportive needs. Other key responsibilities include staffing and professional development of Nursing Office team members, collaboration with leadership, adherence to standards of professional practice, oversight of quality improvement, productivity, and the development of system integrated processes/workflows for optimal patient throughput and the efficient and effective utilization of hospital resources. QualificationsCertifications:
IL. Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) - within 30 days
National Nursing Certification - within 3 years
Education:
Bachelor's Degree: Nursing
Work Experience:
Acute patient care - 5 years
Responsibilities
Facilitates recruitment, hiring, development, evaluation and retention activities.
Develops and oversees the orientation, continuing education and competencies for new and current staff.
Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scopes of practice.
Assesses and develops tactics to address knowledge and skill gaps of staff.
Provides professional development opportunities to remediate gaps.
Works in close collaboration with Unit Nurse Leaders and House Supervisors
Ensure patient throughput and flow issues are addressed and minimized as appropriate.
Identifies problems in the delivery of health care
Participates in developing a plan of change for quality improvement.
Provides clinical direction for staff and evaluates level of care provided by hospital nursing staff.
Facilitates recruitment, hiring, development, evaluation and retention activities.
Develops and oversees the orientation, continuing education and competencies for new and current staff.
Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scopes of practice.
Oversees the build, upkeep and troubleshooting of system scheduling software.

Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation range for this position is $46.63per hour - $80.2per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
