
Senior Process Engineer

- Design and layout of fluid process systems, including CIP skids and complete plants.
- Develop mass balances, process flow diagrams (PFD), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), utility/equipment matrices, timelines, SOPs, and performance specifications for process equipment.
- Identify proper pumps and valving components for each application.
- Understand and apply knowledge of batching, processing, packaging, CIP/COP, pasteurization, filtration, and heat exchangers.
- Design steam, condensate, glycol, tower water, and city water systems.
- Interact with equipment vendors and develop Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
- Identify process improvements, analyze opportunities, and implement action plans.
- Supervise field personnel for work performed at customer sites.
- Travel to customer locations to maintain client contact and address project-related needs.
- Manage equipment procurement and requisition essential parts.
- Work within established engineering policies and procedures to ensure effective customer service.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 8-10 years of related experience.
- 8+ years of experience in fluid processing, with regulated dairy preferred.
- Knowledge of USDA and FDA regulatory guidelines.
- Experience with capital projects, including quoting, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D modeling and Plant 3D for P&ID's.
- Strong understanding of thermal dynamics and heat transfer design.
- Experience in the dairy, juice, yogurt, or vegetable industries.
- Valid US Driver's License.
- Experience with process optimization, MES, and automation systems.
- Ability to consult and provide solutions for plant inefficiencies.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork and professionalism.
