- Achieve annual product sales goals set for the territory while working in coordination with the local assigned team within their territory.
- Maintain accurate and timely opportunity funnel and customer data in SFDC with coaching as needed.
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance and coordinate product demo, installs, and customer training with support from manager and/or mentor.
- Work with prospective and current customers to increase Leica Biosystems' influence and presence across territories.
- Monitor and develop awareness of competitive activities and strategies.
- Education: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science OR equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3+ years relevant sales (or equivalent experience)
- Prior capital sales experience
- Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to travel – 50-75% overnight
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel overnight for territory coverage (if applicable) and/or for company meetings
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop, bend, talk and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This position will require heavy travel by car and flying in and out of airports with possible long wait times.

- Proven contract negotiation and high-level selling experience, or selling in a matrixed environment
