- Monitor and enforce all railroad Maintenance‑of‑Way, RWP, and Track Maintenance operating and safety rules manuals.
- Verify subcontractor badging/training, and perform periodic field compliance checkpoints (badging, CBUD, PPP, etc.).
- Act as day-to-day liaison with UPRR, BNSF, and SJVRR:
- Schedule, attend, and document pre-construction, field, utility/Jack‑&‑Bore, meter‑relocation, flagger/Form B, and weekly progress meetings.
- Prepare agendas/minutes and issue required 10-day (UPRR) and 30-day (BNSF) notifications.
- Lead Railroad Utility Field‑Coordination meetings; interface with Segment Managers, third‑party coordinators, and field staff on utility interfaces and crossing‑equipment needs.
- Meet daily with contractors to confirm work sites requiring railroad protection, submit daily summaries to the railroads, and assist with meter interfaces.
- Monitor construction priorities, troubleshoot field issues, and develop mitigation plans; support the Railroad Manager with white papers, agreements, letters, and exhibits.
- Assist in managing BNSF/UPRR rail‑team schedules and coordinating relocation checklists and “next‑utility” planning.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of outgoing work plans, construction schedules, and TPZP daily reports; develop methodologies to improve delivery.
- Prepare draft correspondence, utility‑schedule checklists, and daily activity reports; maintain document control and distribution.
- Conduct field‑verification visits and provide up-to-date utility‑relocation information to third-party coordinators.
- Attend all rail‑team meetings and perform other duties as required.
- S. in Construction Management or related field.
- ≥ 2 years of heavy‑civil/construction‑management experience (rail preferred).
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; must thrive in a team environment and be a self-starter with solid problem-solving ability.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Bluebeam (PDF), and scheduling software/concepts; ability to interpret civil engineering drawings/designs.
- Familiarity with Title 49 CFR 243 (Operations/Safety Rules) and CFR 213 Tier 1 (Track Safety Standards); Railroad Certified Safety Professional credentials desirable.
