- Serve as liaison between BH Clinical Leadership, Care Navigation, and Specialty services the strategic direction for behavioral health, specialty and care navigation operations in alignment with MCC’s mission, vision, and values.
- Collaborate with the Director of Behavioral Health, Director of Complex Care, and Medical Directors of OB/GYN, Specialty Services, and site locations.
- Partner with Medical Directors and Clinic Managers to strengthen MCC’s Nutrition and Health Education Department.
- Partner with executive leadership to expand behavioral health access, specialty access and improve population health outcomes through innovative models of care.
- Lead cross-departmental planning and initiatives to ensure seamless coordination between medical, behavioral health, specialty services and enabling services.
- Evaluate and enhance service delivery models, staffing structure, and workflows to drive operational performance and patient outcomes.
- Serve as a thought partner to the Chief Operating Officer in planning growth, capital needs, and future program design.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of behavioral health support services, specialty services and care navigation across all clinics.
- Ensure operational compliance with state, federal, and HRSA requirements including clinical documentation, privacy regulations (HIPAA), and patient safety standards.
- Standardize policies, procedures, and onboarding processes across sites and teams.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement data-driven solutions to improve access, quality, efficiency, and equity.
- Provide direct supervision to Care Navigation Supervisors, leads and BH/Specialty support staff.
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and staff well-being through strong coaching, mentorship, and professional development.
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, performance evaluation, and corrective action processes for assigned staff.
- Oversee behavioral health grant program implementation, compliance, and performance tracking.
- Oversee scheduling and access of different Specialties across organization ensuring smooth operations.
- Ensure timely submission of grant reports and support new grant proposals in partnership with development teams.
- Align grant objectives with clinic operational goals and community needs.
- Represent MCC’s behavioral health, specialty and care navigation efforts in external meetings, collaborative initiatives, and public forums.
- Maintain and strengthen partnerships with local mental health agencies, county programs, school-based services, and advocacy organizations.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for integration and co-location of services with community-based organizations.
- Review and approve timecards for staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s or 10 years of relevant experience in Public Health, Health Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, preferably within an FQHC, Specialty services or behavioral health setting.
- Proven success in managing multi-site clinical operations and interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience overseeing grant-funded programs and developing/monitoring budgets.
- Deep understanding of behavioral health systems, specialty services care coordination, and social determinants of health.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
- Experience with EHR systems (e.g., EPIC) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel between clinic sites and work flexible hours as needed.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in fast pace medical environment.
