Position DescriptionAs the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning Manager, your role will be to execute the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes across Briggs & Stratton’s Commercial Service Channel to improve customer satisfaction, profitability, plant and supply chain optimization, inventory turnover and working capital. You will provide strategic direction to balance supply and demand and align volume and mix with capacity and capability to improve operating and financial results.#LI-LB1#LI-HybridYou will do this by:Managing the SIOP function: facilitating demand planning discussions with customers, translating demand to operational and supply chain unitary requirements; facilitating operational capacity plan development; establishing forecasts to suppliers; identifying risks to production; and communicating expectations versus financial plans and customer expectations back through to executive leadership.Applying statistical analysis, business intelligence, and econometrics to develop demand plans for forecast and production use.Engaging with Sales/Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain, and Finance to identify continuous improvement opportunities within the SIOP process. Eliminate silos between functions through cross-functional collaboration.Championing improvements to the current SIOP process, including product family level analysis: average unit price, lead time, backlog management, capacity, inventory planning, supply chain risk development. Develop and implement effective re-engineered and automated SIOP processes to replace current manual processes.Establishing common metrics, data definitions and business processes to support customer service, inventory, and demand/forecast improvements.Documenting and maintaining procedures and processes to ensure system and data accuracy and integrity.Support resource/equipment/material decisions with SIOP analytics.Aligning with Sales/Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain on standard processes and guidelines for preferred parts management.Staying on top of new technologies and systems as potential improvements and modernizations to the current process.Leading a team that will work directly with customers, gathering demand quantifying those needs and financializing them for forecasting purposes.
