- Healthcare Setting: 5D Orthopedic / Surgical Unit
- Assignment Type: Travel RN (Locum Tenens)
- Start Date: September 15, 2025
- End Date: January 19, 2026
- Contract Duration: 18 weeks
- Nursing Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts/week (7:00pm 7:30am)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
- Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required for travel nursing jobs
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification required prior to start (can obtain if not held)
- One recent supervisory reference in Med/Surg Telemetry (manager, ANM, supervisor, director, or charge RN)
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments (2 attempts maximum)
- Background check and fingerprinting required
- Ability to complete required pre-employment modules
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a busy orthopedic/surgical Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and implement interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for patient care and discharge planning
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Participate in nursing orientation, ongoing education, and competency assessments
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and healthcare standards
