In this role, you will leverage your engineering knowledge to design and layout products and systems while maintaining a high level of technical expertise in industry standards and design software. You will create precise technical drawings and construction documents that clearly convey design intent, aiding Project Management in executing solutions effectively. This position emphasizes communication, requiring you to engage with Sales teams to ensure that quotes and drawings uphold the integrity of our engineering standards. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as you will need to deliver presentations effectively in both small and large group settings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for calculations, is a must, along with the ability to read, interpret, and create engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Familiarity with design software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, will enhance your ability to produce precise designs. The role requires strong analytical skills for problem-solving and the capability to work under pressure while meeting time constraints.Additionally, self-motivation and the ability to work independently are critical, as well as a willingness to travel overnight to customer locations when required.Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
Minimum of two-year technical degree in an engineering related field or equivalent experience.
Excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to deliver presentations in both small group and large group environments.
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office; Must be able to understand and create calculations in Excel.
Ability to read interpret and create blueprints/schematics/engineering drawings.
Proficiency with at least one design software platform (SolidWorks or AutoCAD preferred).
Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.
Ability to work under pressure from time constraints.
Ability to work analytically to solve problems with variables true and perceived.
