JOB SUMMARY:This position oversees the operations and service delivery for both IT and Facilities and providesguidance to staff on the implementation of contextual aspects. Serves as a liaison for Board andContract staff on IT and Facilities issues. Answer questions or resolves computer issues for staff inperson, or via telephone or electronically. May aid concerning the use of computer hardware andsoftware, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail and operating systems.Handles facility requests and coordinates with senior leadership to ensure compliance.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Coordinates with Board staff and Contractor staff on all IT and Facility requests and/or issues.
  • Perform a supporting role in Change Controls for: new hires, staff terminations, staff moves,
software requests and additional computer requests.
  • Perform a supporting role in Facility related requests to include security inquiries, access and
overall building management.
  • Must be present and available on site for all facility and IT requests.
  • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems,
including password resets (WIT, email and voicemail) and equipment replacements.
  • Assist with setting up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation
of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
  • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for
service.
  • Assist with the development of training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper
use of hardware or software.
  • Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or
modifications.
  • Assist with the oversight of building and grounds maintenance.
  • Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented and consistent.
  • Ensures that the facilities are maintained according to Board or Contractor policy and
procedures.
  • Works with Board staff on equipment audit and inventory
  • Conducts and documents regular facility inspections in coordination with the Board staff.
  • Receives building inquiries and forwards to the Board staff to be appropriately addressed.
  • Checks completed work by vendors and contractors and communicates status to senior
management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively and interact with all
stakeholders; ability to develop solutions.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management skills to stay on target with goals
  • Detail orientated and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent computer software skills for database and spreadsheet; advanced skills in Microsoft
office suite, including Excel.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of workforce information systems, TWIST, WIT and other relevant
management information systems.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with management,
coworkers, workers from other programs as well as the public.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Associates or Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study required.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance with good driving record.
  • Ability to relocate within the service delivery area.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:Physical requirements include lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally. Subject to standing, sitting, bending,and walking to perform job scope. Requires visual acuity, speech and hearing. Working conditions areprimarily in an office environment. Occasional driving and travel may be required. Flexible hours maybe required.
