Known as the EdTech SouthEast Team, we are part of the NAMER based WWPS EdTech team. There are 5 EdTech teams in all. They are divided into 3 strata, primarily according to their scope and complexity, which is closely tied to their spend levels. At the highest level is the Strategic EdTech Team, of which there is only one. It includes our largest and most complex customers. Below that are the 3 Enterprise Edtech Teams: SouthEast, NorthEast and West. The last strata is known as the Emerging/Greenfield team and there is only one of those.EdTech and it's sister set of Govtech teams (together we are known as "XTech") are part of the larger SLG/EDU domain. State and Local Government and Education.EdTech NorthEast is comprised of six territories, each of which includes several customers, usually from 4 to 7 customers per territory. Each territory has one Solutions Architect (SA) who is paired with one Account Manager (AM). My team consists of three Sr Solutions Architects and 3 Solutions Architects.EdTechs are ISVs - commercial companies, usually PE backed, that provide SAAS products (mostly) for Education Institutions. As such, they are competitive, profit oriented, fast paced and keen to innovate, but also to control costs. A large part of our work is guiding them through prem-to-cloud migrations or compete takeaways from Azure and GCP or modernization projects. There's a lot of GenAI. The rhythm of the industry is seasonal, aligned with the school year, which means the biggest changes to their applications and workloads often happen during the Summer months. But that's not 100% of the work. Things happen all the year through, especially when deploying new projects, applications, regions, etc....About AWS
