This leadership position is responsible for managing all aspects of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget-while upholding VMG's standards of quality and professionalism.Key ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementOversee daily jobsite operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules to meet deadlines.Monitor and control project costs, budgets, and resources.Make key decisions regarding project startup, sequencing, and shutdown.Represent VMG in jobsite progress meetings and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.Safety LeadershipConduct regular safety inspections and enforce company safety protocols.Ensure all team members follow OSHA standards and VMG safety procedures.Report hazards or incidents to the Safety Director promptly.Quality AssuranceVerify all work meets project specifications, plans, and quality standards.Ensure proper use and maintenance of company tools, vehicles, and equipment.Planning & DocumentationPrepare and submit daily job logs and weekly timesheets.Approve and track project-related costs, including invoices and subcontractor expenses.Maintain accurate project records, schedules, and reporting documentation.Personnel ManagementLead and coordinate field crews, allocating manpower effectively to meet project goals.Set clear expectations for performance, timelines, and deliverables.Conduct performance evaluations and administer corrective actions as needed.Foster a positive, team-oriented jobsite environment.QualificationsMinimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a background in HVAC, plumbing, or MEP systems preferred.Proven track record managing crews, subcontractors, and jobsite operations.Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control.OSHA 30 certification preferred; strong commitment to workplace safety required.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.Proficient in project management software, scheduling tools, and MS Office.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.What We OfferCompetitive compensation based on experience.Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc.).Paid time off, holidays, and professional development opportunities.Career advancement in a growing company committed to excellence and innovation.Join VMG and help lead projects that shape the future of commercial construction.
