- Assesses the current and future data architecture needs at an enterprise level.
- Improves and ensures the overall quality of the information assets.
- Improves information flows, including ease of access and use of information assets.
- Bridges the needs of business units with the technical teams to lead the design or utilization of information.
- Drives the user workflow review cycle, synthesizes feedback and implements design requirements.
- Conducts research, identifies gaps and designs new solutions.
- Facilitates internal resources and external vendors in planning, build, verification and implementation of
- Creates a data governance strategy. Continuously assesses and addresses weaknesses and manages related policies and procedures. Ensures cyber and operations resilience, compliance to data integrity and regulatory standards are maintained.
- Monitors utilization of the infrastructure and user feedback and reflects learnings into the evolution of the enterprise data strategy.
- May act as an advisor or mentor to junior professionals.
- Takes ownership and accountability for decision making.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field required. Master degree preferred
- 10+ years of professional IT experience with design and implementation of enterprise-wide data architecture, management, and governance
- Experience working within Databricks
- Familiarity with IT processes in automotive manufacturing
- In depth knowledge and application of architectural standards, principles, methodologies and industry trends.
- Experienced in gathering data architectural requirements, gap analysis and design writing.
- Able to translate requirements into clear enterprise data strategy.
- Provides vision and end-to-end technical solution leadership, viewed as subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to design, deliver and maintain information assets.
- Self-managed; strong communication skills (written and oral).
