- Knows Blender well enough to create the animatics inside it
- Can adjust visual style depending on the script
- Has a sharp eye for camera angles, timing, and transitions
- Knows how to make microscopic or abstract concepts cinematic
- Can create animatics that feel — emotionally powerful moments that land
- Brings ideas to the table, not just drawings
- Is constantly studying great visuals — from movies to sci-fi to docs
- Is proactive, fast to respond, and excited to grow with us
- Can manage animation timelines and teams (as we scale)
- Understand YouTube audience retention and how visuals play a par
- Have a strong network of creatives in the space
- Know how visuals can tap into emotion and psychology
- Happy to jump in and help across the production process
- Obsessed with Visual Storytelling: Always thinking about how to tell a story visually — framing, pacing, movement, and how every shot contributes to the narrative.
- Obsessed with Viewer Engagement: Constantly asking: “Will this keep the viewer watching?” They look at retention graphs, know how to build hooks, and design moments that emotionally land.
- Obsessed with Efficiency: Loves building systems that speed things up. They design animatics that are clear, production-ready, and save the animators hours of guesswork.
- Obsessed with Detail, Without Getting Slowed Down: They notice when a transition doesn't feel right or a shot lacks emotional punch — but they also know how to move fast and not get stuck.
