- Develop, maintain, and implement planograms for all product categories in alignment with merchandising strategies and sales objectives.
- Design and create eye-catching and innovative visual displays and in-store layouts to showcase products effectively.
- Design store layouts that ensure logical product flow, maximize sales per square foot, and improve customer navigation.
- Collaborate with merchandising, buying, marketing, and operations teams to ensure that all store layouts and planograms support promotional campaigns, seasonal resets, and inventory changes.
- Analyze sales data, store feedback, and shopper behavior to continuously improve space planning and fixture placement.
- Use our planogram software to produce accurate visual schematics and 3D layouts.
- Responsible for product data points (collecting and organizing pictures and dimensions)
- Continued education with our planogram software support team as it develops updates.
- Physically designing some sets in our non-retail design space.
- Communicate planogram strategies and ensure implementation across retail locations.
- Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, visual standards, and safety regulations across all store layouts.
- Provide guidance and training to in-store teams regarding the execution of planograms and layout updates.
- Visit retail locations as needed to validate layout performance and execution quality.
- Monitor market trends and competitor layouts to maintain innovative and customer-centric store designs.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of planograms, adjusting as needed to optimize product placement and drive sales.
- Conduct post-implementation analysis and gather feedback to continuously improve planogram effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines, industry standards, and safety regulations in the development and implementation of planograms
- Comprehensive knowledge of building products. *preferred*
- Experience with planograms or CAD software.
- Experience with store planning and design for a multi-store retail environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
- Strong visual awareness and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- The ability to verbalize, describe, and write plans and layouts.
- Ability to recommend and apply design standards in a variety of store formats.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Mobility: Flexibility and mobility to move around the retail environment, including navigating through crowded areas, stairs, and different sections of retail spaces (stores).
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry display materials, props, and merchandise, typically weighing up to 25-50 pounds, to set up and create visual displays.
- Standing for Extended Periods: The role involves standing for extended periods while arranging displays, setting up showcases, and organizing merchandise within the retail space.
- Manual Dexterity: Precise handling of small items, props, and delicate merchandise is essential for arranging displays with attention to detail.
- Visual Acuity: Strong visual skills to assess and create visually appealing displays, including color coordination, product placement, and overall aesthetics.
- Communication: Ability to verbally communicate with team members, clients, and vendors in person, via phone, or through electronic communication devices.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work in different retail and office environments, handle occasional moderate-loud noise levels, and adapt to changing work demands.
- Driving/Transportation: This position may be required to attend work functions on off-site locations or visit vendor locations. Reliable transportation is required.
