Marand specializes in serving the healthcare, financial services, commercial / administrative and light-industrial industries.Responsibilities Administrative Tasks
Project set-up for new bid opportunities including: * Job Number and remaining Project List information
- Update Project List information during/after bid
- SharePoint (SP) folder in the correct region
- Setup folder with appropriate templates w/ Estimator direction
- Move folder when awarded/unawarded
- Building Connected (BC) project set-up
- Order hard copies of plans/specs when needed
- Draft/submit RFI’s
- Contact subcontractors via phone, email, and BC
- Organize/File sub quotes in SP and hard copies in bid book
- Qualify sub bids if knowledge base allows
- Provide basic take-offs when needed such as door/frame counts, flooring SF, ACT SF, etc.
- Attend bid review meetings whenever possible
- Currently enrolled in Construction Management, Engineering, or related STEM education program; no experience required; prior internships or work experience helpful but not required.
- Able to travel as needed to participate in pre-bid site visits, training, seminars, task team meetings, etc.
- Demonstrate expanding knowledge of construction details.
- Possess good self-organizational and management skills and strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees, while maintaining constant focus on meeting and exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
