- Set up and monitor respiratory equipment, such as invasive and non-invasive ventilators.
- The respiratory therapist performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Responsible for operation, routine maintenance, daily calibrations, and quality control of the ABG analyzer.
- Function as an in-service educator to any personnel needing knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures, equipment, pulmonary anatomy, and physiology.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Other duties within scope as assigned.
- Must have current license/certification.
- Successful completion of a 2-year accredited course study leading to an associate degree in respiratory therapy
- DEA License
- For all grade levels and positions, applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Dental Assistant from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Current BLS certification. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting to 15 lbs.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- Must relocate to project site for the duration of the contract.
- Pass a Child abuse and neglect check.
- Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance
